Oy Transmeri Ab has committed to setting SBTi targets
12.1.2026
Oy Transmeri Ab’s Near Term Commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has been approved. This approval means that Transmeri has formally committed to setting science-based, near-term climate targets.
The SBTi targets will be defined over a 5–10-year timeframe and must be aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goal. The commitment supports ambitious, measurable and credible climate action across our business operations.
The approval concerns the commitment to set targets. In the next phase, Transmeri will define concrete greenhouse gas emission reduction targets covering both its own operations (Scope 1 and 2) and its value chain (Scope 3). The targets will be submitted to SBTi for validation and approval within the required timeframe, by the end of 2027.
The SBTi commitment strengthens the credibility of Transmeri’s climate work and supports our long-term sustainability efforts as part of our customers’ and stakeholders’ value chains. The work will proceed step by step and requires close collaboration across different functions, particularly in the development and transparency of emissions data.
