Wella hairstyling consumer products distribution to Transmeri in retail business
Wella Styling retail consumer products to be distributed by Transmeri Oy in Finland from 1st of Aug 2016. This is part of Procter and Gamble’s intent to divest selected beauty brands to Coty during the 2nd half year of 2016. The distribution agreement with Transmeri Oy does not involve any of Wella’s salon professional products primarily sold through hairdressers that will stay as a Coty run business in Nordics after the transition.
“Wella Retail Styling has three well known and trusted brands Wella Classic Styling, Wellaflex and Shockwaves. Procter & Gamble owns these businesses until final close and remains fully committed to successfully driving the Styling business until the transaction is completed. Wella Retail Styling has decided to optimize the category potential by appointing local distributors for the Nordic countries. The choice of full service distributors in Nordic will give Wella Retail Styling the ultimate focus and attention, which will mean even better service to customers and consumers. We strongly believe that Wella Retail Styling has not been in a better place for a long time. Our chosen distributor for Finland, Transmeri Oy, will fully be taking over all Wella Retail Styling customers in the coming months”, says Procter & Gamble’s Nordic Business Transitions Leader Erik Holmberg.
“Wella Retail Styling will be a strong part of our beauty portfolio and strengthens Transmeri’s position as a leading beauty & cosmetics distributor in Finland. Our company and beauty Category team are enthusiastic of the growth possibilities of Hair Styling category with these trusted and well-known brands”, says Transmeri’s managing director Sari Rosin.
The future for Retail Styling in Nordics is filled with opportunities that you don’t want to miss out of.
